Financials

• We paid Darron the $3k we owed him for the SawStop table saw.

• Dave and Jake have a number of receipts to submit for reimbursement.

Space Updates

• John needs permissions to be able to edit our Bylaws text on the website.

• Next weekend, Matt will be implementing his upgraded door system. It will record when keys are used, in addition to opening the door for them.

• Thanks to Dave, we have a very large screen TV was donated to us by Whites Construction. Dave and John mounted it on the wall beneath the projector screen.

• The Prusa Core1 upgrade has arrived, but still requires assembly.

• The most recent power bills have been more than in the past. This was chalked up to increased use of the new laser. A few possible tweaks to the laser were briefly discussed.

• Ward's small MIG welder isn't powerful enough to justify keeping it, so it will be given away for a donation.

• Board elections will be held in about 3 months. Nobody indicated that they planned to step down.

• Some emails to [board] have wound up in some members' Spam folders. Board members should periodically check their spam folders for missed messages.

• We need to order more paper towels.

• Alternative password keeper were briefly discussed.

• Stud Finders were somehow discussed as well.

Motion to renew memberships for Eli, Josh and Gavin - the boys in the rocket club we are helping to sponsor - for another year at no cost.

Upcoming Events We're Attending

• Des Moines Concours d'Elegance car show

  • We need to check if we'll have access to power to run a 3D printer.

  • Apparently there will be a sort of pine wood derby race track for lego cars there. Dave will ask if it's compatible with actual pinewood derby cars too.

  • Matt is experimenting with 3D printed 10mm sockets that have our logo on them. Brad is working on using the laser to print our logo on actual 10mm sockets. Our goal is to create enough that we can give them away at the car show.

• Near Northside Neighbors National Night Out event at Evelyn K Davis Park on August 4, from 5:30-7:30 pm

  • We've been invited to this, but haven't said yes yet. John will email the organizer asking for more information.

IT Space Work Day

• Dave is planning to organize one. Among the things that need to be worked on are the security cameras, particularly in the Auto and Metal Shop.
