Disciplinary Deliberation
The board extensively discussed the best way to respond to an incident. Although the details are redacted here, the topic heading remains because the Secretary is always antsy, angling for alliteration.
Financials
Jerry's property taxes are going up, as a result he will be asking us to pay more in rent. For the time being, he is asking us to pay $150 more per month. Later he'll do the math and work out exactly how much more we owe. We already gave him rent checks for April and May, so he is fine with us paying more in the June rent check.
As of this meeting, Meg had yet to file our taxes but it's on her to do list.
Jake has 2 reimbursement requests, Brad has one coming as well.
Meg got 2 more checks from Benevity paying for volunteer hours. John created a log in with Benevity and set up direct deposit so we won't have to bother with checks anymore. Emails were also sent to Brad and Meg for them to create Benevity system log ins too.
New Laser "In for $10" Campaign
Brad F is leading the campaign. Our goal is $5k, with a stretch goal of another $1k if we get the Prairie Meadows grant.
To date, almost $3k has been pledged. About half of that has already been collected. Of the pledges that not been yet been filled, some are holding off because they're corporate matching funds and are non-refundable.
Some members have contributed using the Black Box. Meg will help us figure out from whom and how much.
Space Updates
The Metal Mill has been used for its first project!
Dave tried to get the Harbor Freight finger break for a previous In for $10 but they were out of stock.
The Vacuum Former should become functional about 30 minutes after this meeting. (Note from the future: it became functional the next day after Brad realized his wiring mistake.)
Matt is working on updating the Rostock 3D printer. He got a new screen for it.
John is working on printing 3D swag for the upcoming Woodworkers talk and tour.
The ASME tour went well, and were a pretty cool group of people.
The 3D Printing Stewards were commended for the great job they did cleaning up and reorganizing their room.
Jake is getting close to finishing the Milo Millennium Mill he is building.
The Wood Shop now has 2 band saws and the new drum sander running.
Meeting Adjourned
On learning to use the Metal Mill under Caroline's tutelage: "You plug it in, go like this and go like this, and then Caroline says "NO! NOT LIKE THAT!" - Dave
"That's the goal... shame you into compliance." - the context of this quote has been lost to history but the Secretary still finds it funny
"I have a system in the Auto Shop. I pile the new stuff on top of the other stuff." - Dave
